Purple City makes its triumphant return to Babygrande Records with the new single
"Going to Miami."
The Purple City collective took over the streets in the mid-2000s with a tenacious mixtape run,
leading to a massive commercial impact with anthems like "Purple City Byrdgang," which was
in constant rotation on BET. The crew, led by Shiest Bubz "The Emperor," collaborated
with Jim Jones, Max B, Juelz Santana, and more, earning chart positions on the Billboard 200
and top 10 Rap Albums chart. Shiest Bubz has since remained one of the most relevant names
in hip-hop and stoner culture; he is the co-founder of the Smokers Club Tour and widely
regarded as NYC's go-to personality for music and cannabis crossover events.
Returning with an uptempo modern throwback, "Going to Miami," Shiest Bubz shares his
exploits of a gangster's trip to Florida's hottest city that turns into a storytelling crime saga. The
song serves as the first single from the upcoming Purple City album due out later this year.
